Dale Glenn is a California registered engineering geologist with over 30 years of geologic experience and expertise. Dale Glenn Engineering Geology, Inc. was established in 1984 to provide geologic inspection services to residential and commercial property buyers. We offer our services to buyers of property in the City of Los Angeles, most of Los Angeles County and parts of Ventura County. Our inspection services are designed to provide geologic information about a property that may assist our clients in making an informed, reasonable determination of the potential geologic issues associated with their purchase.

Registrations:
California Registered Geologist - No. 3906
California Certified Engineering Geologist - No. 1238

What We Do:

  • We research the department of building and safety records for site specific geotechnical documents pertaining to the original development and/or development of secondary site improvements, landslide repairs or other associated geologic issues.
  • We review in-house regional geologic maps with respect to the locations of faults, landslides and liquefaction areas.
  • We review grading plans for the site, if available.
  • We perform a reconnaissance (no subsurface) geologic inspection of the site for the purpose of identifying any observable geologic conditions which might bear upon the continuing safe use of the property and its improvements. Conditions such as faulting, landslide, mudflow, settlement, flooding, springs or seepage and drainage issues are targeted.
  • The geologist reviews the findings with the client at the time of the site visit. The verbal discussion includes the geologic conditions observed at the site and their potential impact upon the subject property. Questions that the buyer may have with respect to the geologic feasibility of future development are also discussed, as well as other questions or concerns that the buyer may have.
  • A written report will be provided to the client after the site visit. The report will provide a summary of the geologic information about the property. It will address and provide comments on the current geologic condition of the site and provide suggestions on how to improve any adversities found from a geological standpoint.

Payment:

Payment is made at the time of the site visit. We accept cash, check, Visa, Master Card or American Express.
